| (1)Through the exchange of information between Asian cities, the project intends to regulate exhaust gas emissions and encourage the use of low emission vehicles. It also aims to improve the state of atmospheric pollution and resolve health problems by upgrading technology and policy for dealing with vehicular emission. (2)In order to curb global warming, this project aims to study energy policies feasible for the cities of Asia such as reduction of CO2 emissions and prevalence of bio-fuels and other new forms of energy. It will also undertake exchanges in and provision of technical information. |
