Representatives (Mayor or Governor) from member cities gather to convene a plenary meeting once each year in principle. The meeting decides important administrative issues, hears reports on the progress / outcome of joint projects, conducts discussions on the theme of member cities’ policies, and presents reports on issues of special consideration. Each meeting is concluded with the adoption of a joint declaration.
In addition to the plenary meeting, ANMC21 also gathers administrative officials of member cities to convene a “working-level meeting” to examine practical issues on the network administration.
A total of 12 joint projects are currently being undertaken to resolve common issues among major cities.
In each project, the city that proposes the project serves as the “organizing city”, while other cities take part as “participating cities” according to the relevance of the project’s theme. Activities conducted in each project include organizing a conferences / seminars, implementing training, and holding an international event.
